How does EFT work?

  1. An analogy for EFT is to think of a TV that is not tuned properly. You may see a picture but it is covered with disturbance in the signal. The disturbance in a TV is like our emotions such as anxiety, depression, traumatic memories, heartache, anger, etc.
  2. During phone sessions, clients are coached to tune into the specific emotional, physical or mental issue (the disruption), while following a tapping routine using their fingertips. (See diagram below). An important link is created between the mind and body whereby a chain reaction to facilitate a release of the problem is produced.
  3. For each problem, the whole process can takes less than 5 minutes. Clients suffering from PTSD can experience dramatic relief in as few as 3 sessions.

THE SETUP PHRASE...

An acknowledgement of the problem and an acceptance of the self.

Repeat this affirmation 3 times:
“Even though I have this problem I deeply and completely accept myself” while continuously rubbing the Sore Spot (SS) or Tapping the Karate Chop (KC) Point.




2.
THE SEQUENCE...
The reminder phrase: Helps maintain focus on the issue being treated.
“This problem Repeat reminder phrase while tapping on each of the following points 7 times:

EB, SE, UE, UN, CH, CB, UA, BN, TH, IF, MF, BF, KC

3. THE 9 GAMUT PROCEDURE...
Continuously tap on the Gamut point (GP) while performing each of these 9 actions:
1. Eyes closed  2. Eyes open  3. Eyes hard down right  4. Eyes hard down left  5. Roll eyes in circle  6. Roll eyes in other direction  7. Hum 2 seconds of a song  8. Count to 5  9. Hum 2 seconds of a song.

4. THE SEQUENCE...
Repeat The Sequence and reminder phrase while tapping on each of the following points 7 times:
EB, SE, UE, UN, CH, CB, UA, BN, Th, IF, MF, BF, KC

Take a deep breath, and let go. Repeat if necessary.
